I know, this title is kind of click-baitish, but it defines the essence of this article perfectly.
If there is something that will destroy our world, then it is collectivism and its flawed practices that have proven, over and over again (think of the USSR and other socialist regimes) destroyed entire countries and submerged them in the deepest and most horrendous misery…
Collectivism comes in many shapes and flavors, not only hard-core communist regimes, and that is exactly what we are going to analyze today.
It Overrides The Individual:
One of the most horrendous things about collectivism is how it puts the happiness of the individual in the last place, and thereby it enslaves it to the “common wellbeing”.
We don’t have to visit North Korea, Cuba or travel back in time to the USSR to appreciate this, because we can find it right in the USA, and not only here, but also in several Western countries.
People are taxed the hell out of them to support a system that caters to the “least fortunate” by exploiting, and may I say enslaving, the productive citizens of these societies.
However, at the end of the day, the “least fortunate” are not the reason for the implementation of these policies, of course not, it is in favor a very small group at the top of the social structure… and no, I’m not talking about illuminatis, reptilians or that kind of stuff!
Everyone Wants Your Taxes:
In the other end of collecting your taxes, there are several groups waiting to receive them. That is the reality of collectivism, that there is always a group with greater political group (because real competitiveness is replaced with political favors and lobbying) waiting there to grab your hard-earned money for doing nothing.
That is why Rothbard and many other authors were right when they called taxation as theft, because that is what it is when there is no reporting on what the government does with your money, and solely excuses itself that they are working for the country, and once again, doing it for the least fortunate…
It Kills Motivation And Investment:
When collectivism is applied, along with excessive and absurd taxation to support social programs, they kill motivation and investment, which are the main ingredients for making a country’s economy grow.
That is why Europe hasn’t launched any important or highly-competitive company in the last years and why people feel demotivated to start their own business, because taxation and regulations are so damn annoying that it is not worth the effort.
What we are doing with this is to kill motivation, and if we do it, then inevitably the market will backfire at us, because it doesn’t care if we are good or not, it a force that will kick us in the butt in a short time…
What’s The Better Path Then?
FREEDOM, that’s it.
The key is freedom to use our money as we please, that’s the way to go.
